Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: August 16, 2026

DongChannel publishes independent reviews, comparisons, buyer guides and practical content about software, online business tools and related services.

Some pages on DongChannel may contain affiliate links.

If you click an affiliate link and later make a qualifying purchase, signup or other eligible action, DongChannel may receive a commission or referral fee from the merchant, service provider or affiliate network.

In most cases, using an affiliate link does not increase the price you pay.

This page explains how those relationships work and how DongChannel keeps commercial compensation separate from editorial judgment.

What Is an Affiliate Link?

An affiliate link is a link that allows a merchant or affiliate network to identify that a visitor was referred by DongChannel.

Depending on the affiliate program, DongChannel may receive compensation when a referred visitor completes an eligible action, such as:

  • Making a purchase.
  • Starting a paid subscription.
  • Registering for a service.
  • Completing another qualifying action defined by the merchant or affiliate program.

Not every link on DongChannel is an affiliate link.

Not every product or service mentioned on DongChannel has an affiliate relationship with us.

What Does It Cost the Reader?

In most affiliate programs, the commission is paid by the merchant or service provider and does not create an additional charge for the reader.

However, prices, discounts, taxes, currencies, plans and promotional offers are controlled by the merchant.

Readers should always check the final price and terms directly on the merchant’s website before purchasing.

DongChannel does not control the merchant’s checkout process, billing or final transaction terms.

Affiliate Relationships Do Not Control Our Reviews

Affiliate compensation does not determine DongChannel’s editorial conclusions.

A commercial relationship does not guarantee:

  • A positive review.
  • A higher rating.
  • A better score.
  • A first-place ranking.
  • Inclusion in a buyer guide.
  • A favorable comparison result.
  • Removal of legitimate criticism.
  • Preferential treatment over a more suitable alternative.

A product should not receive a higher editorial score simply because it pays a higher commission.

DongChannel may also cover or recommend products that do not have an affiliate program.

For more information about our editorial standards, see our Editorial Policy and How We Review pages.

How We Disclose Affiliate Links in Content

When a page contains affiliate links or commercial relationships that readers should know about, DongChannel aims to make that relationship clear rather than relying only on this standalone disclosure page.

A disclosure should be placed where readers can reasonably notice it before or near the relevant affiliate recommendations.

A standard disclosure may read:

Disclosure: Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you purchase through them, DongChannel may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not affect our editorial opinions, ratings or recommendations.

The exact wording may vary depending on the page format, the affiliate program and any disclosure requirements that apply to a particular partnership.

The purpose should remain the same: readers should be able to understand that a commercial relationship may exist without having to search for that information.

Reviews and Affiliate Links

A review may contain an affiliate link to the product being reviewed.

The existence of that affiliate link does not mean:

  • The vendor wrote the review.
  • The vendor approved the review.
  • DongChannel was paid to give a positive opinion.
  • The product automatically receives a high score.

Reviews should still identify meaningful limitations and situations where the product may not be suitable.

If a product is evaluated primarily through research rather than hands-on testing, the content should not falsely present the evaluation as personal product experience.

Comparisons

A comparison may include affiliate links for:

  • Both products.
  • One product.
  • Several products.
  • Or none of the products.

Affiliate availability should not determine the winner of a comparison.

The recommendation should be based on the factors relevant to the reader, such as features, price, ease of use, support, flexibility and the intended use case.

Buyer Guides

Products may be included in buyer guides whether or not DongChannel has an affiliate relationship with them.

A company cannot purchase the top editorial ranking in an independent buyer guide simply by offering:

  • A higher commission.
  • A higher CPA payout.
  • Better EPC.
  • A larger affiliate bonus.
  • A longer cookie duration.
  • Another affiliate incentive.

Those factors may be relevant to DongChannel’s internal affiliate business operations, but they are not editorial scoring criteria for deciding which product is best for the reader.

Free Trials, Demo Access and Complimentary Access

A vendor may provide DongChannel with:

  • A free trial.
  • Extended trial access.
  • Demo access.
  • Temporary product access.
  • Other access intended to help evaluate the product.

Receiving access does not guarantee favorable coverage.

When a vendor provides a material benefit beyond ordinary evaluation access and that benefit could reasonably affect how readers interpret the content, DongChannel should consider whether an additional disclosure is appropriate.

Sponsored or Paid Content

Affiliate commissions and sponsored content are not necessarily the same thing.

An affiliate relationship generally means DongChannel may earn compensation when a referred visitor completes a qualifying action.

Sponsored or paid content involves a different commercial arrangement.

If DongChannel accepts sponsored content, paid placement or another directly paid promotional arrangement in the future, that relationship should be clearly identified so readers are not led to believe the paid material is independent editorial content.

Payment should not be used to disguise advertising as an independent review.

Merchant and Affiliate Network Tracking

When you click an affiliate link, the merchant or affiliate network may use tracking technologies to attribute a qualifying purchase or action to DongChannel.

Depending on the program, this may involve technologies such as cookies, referral identifiers or other attribution methods controlled by the merchant or network.

The tracking method and attribution period vary by affiliate program.

For information about data handled directly by DongChannel, please see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Pricing and Offers

DongChannel may mention prices, discounts, coupons, free trials or promotional offers.

We aim to use accurate information when content is researched or updated, but merchants can change their:

  • Prices.
  • Plan names.
  • Discounts.
  • Promotional periods.
  • Eligibility requirements.
  • Product availability.
  • Affiliate terms.

A price or offer displayed on DongChannel should therefore not be treated as a guarantee.

The merchant’s checkout or official pricing page controls the final price and applicable terms.

Vendor Input

Vendors and affiliate managers may provide factual information such as:

  • Current pricing.
  • Feature updates.
  • Official documentation.
  • Screenshots.
  • Trial or demo access.
  • Product launch information.
  • Corrections.

Providing information does not give a vendor editorial control over DongChannel.

DongChannel may independently verify submitted information before updating content.

Program-Specific Disclosure Requirements

Some affiliate programs may require specific disclosure language, placement or branding.

When DongChannel participates in such a program, any applicable program-specific disclosure should be added where required.

DongChannel should not claim membership in, certification by or participation in an affiliate program unless that relationship actually exists.

Our Commitment to Readers

Affiliate revenue can help support the cost of:

  • Operating the website.
  • Researching products.
  • Maintaining content.
  • Hosting and technical infrastructure.
  • Creating new reviews, comparisons and guides.

But affiliate revenue does not change the basic purpose of DongChannel:

Help readers make better online business decisions.

If a product is not a good fit for a particular type of reader, the content should be able to say so even when an affiliate relationship exists.
